Dear Parents and Carers,
As the school year draws to a close and with the busyness of Christmas and other things going on, sometimes the meaning of why we are here can be forgotten. At this time make sure that you take the time to let the Holy Spirit open your eyes to the presence of Jesus.
Congratulations to Year 6
On Monday evening we held the Year 6 Graduation Mass, after Mass Year 6 gathered together with their parents, their teachers and other staff members to share a meal. I was very proud of the way Year 6 presented themselves, it was certainly a credit to their families and to the whole school community. The students do not have long left as a primary school student and again I wish them all the best as they start at their respective High Schools. I have no doubt that they take with them very happy memories, a sense of belonging and strong friendships. Congratulations Year 6. Of course the Graduation does not organise itself, it takes a lot of hard work and for that I thank all those involved in any way. Special thanks must go to our Year 6 teachers, Heather Naylor, Bernadette Ephraums, Angela Bartkowiak and Paul McGregor.
Meet the Teacher - 2020
On Tuesday, students had a short time with their class for 2020. New students who will be joining us in the new year also came along to make some new friends and become familiar with their new environment. This time is always filled with excitment and anticipation.
Kindergarten Nativity
On Thursday morning, Kindergarten presented the Christmas Nativity. This undoubtedly is the most popular liturgy of the year. Kindergarten teachers put a great deal of effort into rehearsals and organising, so thank you to Vicki Beissner, Romy Batista and Tracy Adamson.
Last day of 2019
Next Thursday, 19th December, will be the last day of Term. This newsletter will be the last one published for the year, so I would like to take the opportunity to wish each and every one a safe, peaceful and joyful Christmas. Warm wishes to those families who leave our community at the end of the year. Stay safe and I look forward to 2020 with great expectations and hope.
God bless.

Vacation Care bookings will remain open until Friday 13th December. If your bookings will change in 2020 you need to contact OOSCA to make these changes.
All parents and carers who have children that attend OOSCA are required to complete a new booking form for 2020. This incorporates a CWA (Complying Written Agreement) which is a requirement of licensing. Please make sure that you complete the form below and return it to OOSCA as soon as possible.
If this form is not returned it will be considered that your bookings are not changing. This means that as of the first day of Term 1, current 2019 bookings will remain and you will be charged unless 1 week of notice is provided.

Collection of Students during School Hours
When collecting students from school during school hours, the person collecting the child must sign the student out at the Front Office, then walk to the student’s classroom. The use of the PA system is only used when it is absolutely essential as these interruptions impact learning. It is advised that extra time is given in the case that your child's class are not in the classroom.
